Hello everyone! My name is Jacintha, a violinist from Malaysia. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in London and a Master of Ethnomusicology degree in Ireland. In this violin course, you will learn how to play the violin with good intonation and develop your rhythm by learning your favorite repertoires. Music theory is included for beginners.

The trumpet: its correct technical execution and the interpretation of popular and academic universal repertoires, is available to everyone regardless of their age. We will build a logical sequence of studies that will help develop the technical aspects. And we will address repertoires according to the age and taste of the student. we will draw a path with short, medium and long term goals. we will build a technical routine and healthy habits to progress correctly. In addition, we will select musical pieces by mutual agreement to mature the technical development hand in hand with musical growth. I am a professional trumpeter, I have participated in symphony orchestras, wind bands, big band, and small chamber and jazz ensembles. I have extensive experience teaching children, youth and adults. For me it is very important to make music from the first lesson, because there must be a balance between technical practice and its application in small melodies or musical pieces. No matter the musical genre, we will always find a repertoire according to the level and interest of each student. I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument. I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student. Finally, Alex creates a video tutorial about the piece or song that needs to be learned for the next lesson. This gives extra support when practising at home, in order to avoid any doubt and keep motivation up. A report is then created to keep track of what has been done as well as what needs to be worked on, in order to unlock technical requirements and complete a specific repertoire in a constructive and efficient way. Alex teaches in Rotterdam at home or at the pupil's own location ; lessons are in Dutch, English or French, for all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools: Hart Muziekschool in Haarlem and Vioolstudio 020! in Amsterdam).
